Shai was born in Tel Aviv and raised in Kibbutz Beit Guvrin, Israel. She is an educator in her heart and soul that loves to work with kids and teenagers.  During her high school years, Shai volunteered as a Madricha in the ‘Hashomer Hatzair’ youth movement. After graduating high school, she volunteered in a gap year (Shnat Sherut) in Jerusalem as a Madricha for Teens who made Aliyah from the former Soviet Union countries. Shai started her educational career in her army service as she served as a squad commander in the Bedouin unit in Michve Alon base followed by promotion as an Educational Tool Developer. In 2019 Shai started her role as a Merakezet for the Israeli scouts chapter in Boston - Shevet Ofek. In the past year, Shai joined the Tzofim HQ in New York as the East Coast Educational Director. In her free time, Shai enjoys listening to music and podcasts (about music!), swimming, and reading the Israeli news.
