About Us

Founded in 1995 as Friends of Israel Scouts, Inc. (FOIS), Tzofim of North America is a youth movement for Jewish teens that originated in Israel. Tzofim offers youth throughout the United States a unique opportunity to participate in Israel Scouts programs and activities.

 

Tzofim promotes Jewish and Israeli identity, Zionism, friendship, independence, leadership, democracy, and a deep connection to Israel. The movement’s programs nurture values of diversity, tolerance, inclusivity, social responsibility, strong ethics, as well as community involvement. It inspires empowered young individuals to make a positive impact in their communities and the world.

Tzofim provides a supportive and inclusive environment for Jewish youth to learn, grow, and develop important life skills.
