An attorney, Isaac (Ike) Blachor has been an active member of the American, New York State, and Nassau County Bar Associations, and is a past President of the Jewish Lawyers Association of Nassau County. He served as the Chair of the Committee on Professional Ethics of the Nassau County Bar Association and as a member of the New York State Bar Association Committee on Professional Responsibility. He is a past Chair of the Long Island Cabinet for State of Israel Bonds and the founder of the Holocaust Memorial and Educational Center of Nassau County. As founder of the Friends of Israel Scouts, Isaac has served as pro-bono legal counsel and as the national secretary of the FOIS board, ensuring that the organization meets the standards of the Philanthropic Advisory Council of the Better Business Bureau.
