Michal Zussman is a community leader based in New York City, with extensive experience in community building, leadership, and engagement within the Israeli and Jewish diaspora communities. From 2020 to 2025, Michal served as Co-Head of Shevet Tapuach in New York, where she helped lead and grow a vibrant and highly engaged Tzofim community. She currently leads the adult community within the Shevet, strengthening connections across the Israeli community and building bridges between the Shevet, the broader community, and local leadership.

Michal was also a founding member of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum in New York, which became active following October 7. Throughout the war, she played a central role in organizing community events, supporting hostage families - particularly American families - and mobilizing advocacy and communal engagement efforts over the past two years.

​

In addition, Michal co-founded and co-leads a rapidly growing community of Israeli women in New York, now numbering more than 700 members. The community focuses on women’s health, strengthening personal and communal connections, and making knowledge and resources more accessible.

Professionally, Michal works at Columbia University, where she has been actively involved in addressing the rise of antisemitism on campus since October 7, supporting Israeli and Jewish students during a particularly challenging time.

Before relocating to the United States, Michal served as a Product Group Manager in the marketing division at Tivall, one of Israel’s leading food companies.

Michal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Haifa and an MBA specializing in Marketing and Human Resources from Bar-Ilan University.
