Tzofim Tzabar Olami International Conference
December 26-28, 2019
We are excited to invite you to the 2nd Tzabar Olami International Conference, which will take place in Israel during Hanukkah, from December 26-28, 2019.
Who will participate in the conference?
150 representatives from the Tzofim's programs around the world will join the conference:
Two Hanhagat Tzabar participants, ages 16-19, from each Shevet. Participants from the Tzofim chapters in Australia, Ukraine, England, United States, Belarus, Netherlands, Moldova, Mexico, and Russia.
Shachbag participants from Israel who participated in international Tzofim delegations.
Hanhagat Tzabar alumni currently in Israel, participating in Shnat Sherut, Mechinot, Garin Tzabar, and students.
Gap Year participants from Garin Atid and Marlatz (National Center for Scouting).
What programming will take place?
Thursday, December 26: A day of experiential learning at Beit Hatfutsot (Museum of the Jewish People) at Tel Aviv University. Activities will take place in mixed groups, we will see interesting presentations, and join together for a festive opening ceremony featuring the Tzofim Friendship Caravan. In the evening we will travel together to the Mevo'ot Yam Youth Village (near Netanya) and sleep there.
Friday, December 27: Activities in mixed groups, a Scouting experience that includes structure building and cooking, visiting Shvatim in Israel, a festive Kabbalat Shabbat, and evening activities around a campfire.
Saturday, December 28: An international discourse about the present and future of Tzabar Olami and thinking about cooperation between countries, interesting presentations about the subject of Jewish Peoplehood and the connection between Judaism in Israel and Judaism in the Diaspora, Scouting games, and a closing celebration.
Participants will sleep in Mevo'ot Yam Youth Village, which is located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
What is the cost and how can I register?
Participants arriving from abroad - information about the cost of the conference and flight subsidies will be given by country/region.
Participants arriving from Israel - the cost will be 250 shekel.

For the first time ever, we are giving participants the option to participate in the Tzofim's annual Hanukkah trip, in Southern Israel. The group of Tzabar Olami participants will be an organic group that will join one of the Israeli Hanhagot and will travel with them throughout the Negev from December 23-25. At the end of the trip, participants will spend a night at home and will join the conference the following day.
Cost per participant: 450 shekel, including food.
