Life's a climb, but the view is great. By Daphne.
During the third week, both busses split up into two groups for our elective tracks.
The first group went hiking and the second group was focused on agriculture. I was on the Golan elective, the hiking track, and I had an amazing, memorable, once in a lifetime experience. On the first day, we went hiking in the Golan Heights. The hike was extraordinarily beautiful, and extremely fun, but in all honesty it was extremely exhausting. We hiked while facing the scorching sun and intense heat, however, we were surrounded by beautiful and diverse scenery including bright flowers, and monotonous hills. It reminded me that it’s about the destination not the journey. As we reached the waterfall all conversations ceased to an end and we all looked at each other in awe. It was the most beautiful waterfall I’ve ever seen. And the memories and special moments of encouragement when we struggled to get up the mountain are unforgettable.
